The 25th Annual Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle Pompano Tournament will begin on February 1 and anglers have until the final day of May to sign up and bring in their catch.
The top prize is a $1,000 gift certificate with the top ten places being awarded along with first and second place prizes for junior and lady anglers.
Entry into the contest is only $20 per person and each angler receives a t-shirt when they enter. You must be entered prior to catching the fish in order to weigh it. Fish may be caught from shore, piers, or by boat.
Last year, David Sturdivant took the top spot with a pompano weighing 5.16, followed by Pete Hastings in second with a 5.06 pounder, and Edward Ilano in third at 5 pounds.
